Catherine Quinn is the visionary founder and CEO of MistissiniBnB (formerly Mistissini Bed and Breakfast), a community-rooted hospitality brand that began when she transformed her family home into a warm, full-service BnB after returning to Montreal. With deep entrepreneurial drive and a passion for creating meaningful guest experiences, Catherine has built more than a place to stay. She's built a brand defined by care, connection, and uncompromising quality.

From day one, Catherine has been fully hands-on. She designed the booking system, developed the website, created operational policies, and shaped the brand identity to reflect her core values. Every element of MistissiniBnB bears her mark, and everything she touches, she elevates. She holds herself and her team to the highest standard, ensuring that excellence and attention to detail are evident in every guest experience.

Her leadership is grounded in purpose and fueled by vision. Catherine combines strategic decision-making with a personal, people-first approach. She always listens to feedback from both guests and her team. Nilani Uthayakumar (ᓃᓚᓃ  ᐅᑕᔦᑯᒪᕐ) – Chief Experience Officer (CXO)

As Chief Experience Officer at MistissiniBnB, Nilani oversees every stage of the guest journey, from digital discovery to checkout. She leads digital visibility, booking systems, guest care, and operational flow, ensuring each stay is seamless, intentional, and deeply welcoming.

With a background in Social Services and a natural sense of hospitality, Nilani brings structure, empathy, and professionalism to every interaction. She manages finances and payment processing with precision, while also refining the website, guest communications, policies, and back-end systems to keep operations running smoothly.

Passionate about innovation, Nilani has introduced tech-forward upgrades such as keyless entry and smart tools to enhance operational efficiency and elevate the overall guest experience.

Her work blends thoughtful structure with heartfelt care, combining operational excellence with a human touch guests remember.

Working closely with Founder & CEO Catherine Quinn, Nilani helps guide the BnB’s evolving direction. Cheryl Shecapio – Housekeeping & Property Caretaker

Cheryl is the unsung hero who keeps MistissiniBnB in perfect shape, ensuring the property remains pristine, welcoming, and comfortable for every guest. With her sharp eye for detail and impeccable standards, she takes charge of maintaining every inch of the property, from spotless guest rooms to the overall cleanliness of the entire BnB. Cheryl doesn’t just clean. She genuinely cares. Her dedication to making sure everything is flawless and inviting leaves a lasting impression on everyone who stays. As a close friend to the owner, her warmth and kindness shine through in everything she does, creating an atmosphere that’s not only clean but full of heart. Guests can always count on Cheryl to ensure their stay is as relaxing and comfortable as possible, making Mistissini feel like home with every visit.

Beverly Quinn – Operations Support Coordinator

Beverly plays a vital support role in ensuring the smooth operation of MistissiniBnB. While Catherine is away, Beverly is ready to step in, providing backup to keep things running seamlessly. If any issues arise with the property, from repairs to maintenance, Beverly is quick to handle the situation by reaching out to the right professionals. Her attention to detail and proactive approach help maintain the high standards of the BnB. Additionally, when there’s an overflow of guests, Beverly graciously opens up her beautiful home, offering a welcoming space for guests to enjoy a comfortable stay, ensuring no one is ever left without a place to rest.
