Catherine Quinn – Owner & Managing Director

Catherine is the trailblazer behind MistissiniBnB (formerly known as Mistissini Bed and Breakfast), transforming her home into a successful business after relocating back to Montreal. With her innovative mindset and deep passion for hospitality, she didn’t just create a cozy space—she built an entire operation from the ground up. From designing the website and booking system to crafting policies and branding, Catherine is hands-on in every detail, ensuring everything runs smoothly and with a personal touch.

Alongside her mom, Beverly, Catherine has made the BnB feel like a true home away from home—cozy, welcoming, and full of heart. But what truly sets her apart is her leadership. She leads by example, combining strong direction with genuine care, ensuring every team member feels supported and every guest feels valued. While her busy schedule often keeps her behind the scenes, Catherine always makes an effort to connect with guests when she can, making sure their needs are met and their experience is memorable.

Catherine strives for excellence in everything she does, creating an environment where both guests and the team feel respected, appreciated, and at ease.

Beverly Quinn – Operations Support Coordinator

Beverly plays a vital support role in ensuring the smooth operation of MistissiniBnB. While Catherine is away, Beverly is ready to step in, providing backup to keep things running seamlessly. If any issues arise with the property, from repairs to maintenance, Beverly is quick to handle the situation by reaching out to the right professionals. Her attention to detail and proactive approach help maintain the high standards of the B&B. Additionally, when there’s an overflow of guests, Beverly graciously opens up her beautiful home, offering a welcoming space for guests to enjoy a comfortable stay, ensuring no one is ever left without a place to rest.

Cheryl Shecapio – Housekeeping & Property Caretaker

Cheryl is the unsung hero who keeps MistissiniBnB, in perfect shape, ensuring the property remains pristine, welcoming, and comfortable for every guest. With her sharp eye for detail and impeccable standards, she takes charge of maintaining every inch of the property, from spotless guest rooms to the overall cleanliness of the entire BnB. Cheryl doesn’t just clean—she genuinely cares. Her dedication to making sure everything is flawless and inviting leaves a lasting impression on everyone who stays. As a close friend to the owner, her warmth and kindness shine through in everything she does, creating an atmosphere that’s not only clean but full of heart. Guests can always count on Cheryl to ensure their stay is as relaxing and comfortable as possible, making Mistissini feel like home with every visit.

Nilani Uthayakumar – Operations & Guest Services Manager

Nilani is the powerhouse behind the digital operations at MistissiniBnB. She helps manage and update the website, online bookings, and keeps guest communications running as smoothly as a fresh pot of morning coffee. But don’t let that warm smile fool you—Nilani is also the one ensuring payments are processed, policies stay current, and Catherine gets paid on time (you’re welcome, Catherine).

With a “get-things-done” attitude and a background in Social Services, Nilani brings a deep passion for hospitality to everything she does. She and Catherine are always collaborating on new ideas to elevate the BnB and create the best possible experience for guests. Nilani’s attention to detail, her dedication to continuous improvement, and her genuine care for every guest make her an essential part of the team, ensuring each stay feels special and personalized.
